Tooth Extraction

There are many reasons a tooth might need to be extracted, including:

  • Severe tooth decay that can’t be restored

  • Impacted or painful wisdom teeth

  • Advanced periodontal (gum) disease

  • Over-retained baby teeth

  • Severe crowding that requires tooth removal to create space for orthodontic treatment

At 803 Dental, we perform most extractions right here in our office, saving you the time and expense of a referral to a specialist.

Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth, or third molars, typically begin to emerge between the ages of 16 and 25. Though they often grow without symptoms, they can cause problems as they develop. Common issues include:

  • Impacted wisdom teeth, which can push against other teeth and cause misalignment

  • Decay and infections, since their location makes them hard to clean properly

  • Pain and swelling from trapped or partially erupted teeth

We offer in-office wisdom tooth extractions for straightforward cases, but if a procedure is more complex, we’ll recommend you to a trusted oral surgeon for specialized care. Your comfort and well-being are always our top priority!
